MEMBER OF THE GUELPH & WELLINGTON BRANCH
The Guelph & Wellington Branch of the ACO
is looking to involve interested citizens and organizations as members
of this new organization. The benefits of membership include:
· a monthly meeting with a
guest presenter on architectural and landscape topics ranging from
historical architectural styles, practical restoration information,
heritage landscapes and gardens, to Guelph and Wellington rich built
heritage and many more related topics,
· a forum for discussion and
advocacy on issues that are timely and relevant to Guelph and
Wellington County,
· a subscription to ACORN,
the ACO’s provincial publication which is published three times
per year,
· access to other
educational resources and the opportunity to attend the annual ACO
Conference. The Conference focuses on topics related to
architectural and landscape conservation and attracts experts in the
field as speakers.
· access to Preservation
Works! The ACO maintains a roster of highly skilled professionals -
conservation architects, engineers, landscape architects,
archaeologists and historians who, for a small fee, will provide
consultation to individuals, businesses or organizations on everything
from restoring a property, to new uses for old buildings and
fundraising,
· access to the “Provincial
Roster of Available Properties” - the ACO maintains a provincial roster
of properties that are vacant or endangered so that interested buyers
can review if they are seeking properties for restoration or
re-development.
MEMBERSHIP COST
Our annual membership fee is $30 for individuals, $35 for households,
$40 for organizations and $20 for students.
